Terry Cloth Baby Bib with Pocket

Terry cloth is very absorbent and hence a great choice for baby bibs. Even beginners will find this project easy-to-do and satisfying.

Supplies:

  • Terry Cloth 15" x 11"
  • Terry Cloth 8" x 11" (for pocket)
  • Blue Ribbon or bias tape
  • Basic Sewing supplies like Sewing Machine, thread etc.

Directions:

1. Cut out a semi-circle from the top of the longer terry cloth for the neck.

2. Place the 2 terry cloths wrong sides facing and sew on the seams attaching the pocket to the bib and also tucking in seams of the bib. Turn right side out. You will now have a bib with a pocket.

3. Apply bias tape or blue ribbon to the bib by sewing along the entire edge of the bib except the neck.

4. Apply bias tape or ribbon to the neck in a similar way leaving tails of the ribbon on both ends for tying the bib round the baby's neck.

Note:

1. You can choose to make the bib pocket out of a different color fabric and decorate it by appliquéing baby designs, embroidering etc.
